PIRA P232U RDS ENCODER

The P232U RDS encoder is suitable for the vast majority of radio stations using serial data channels (PC serial port, satellite link, serial via Ethernet) for the distribution of RDS content. A separate USB communication port provides an easy way for local connection and configuration. The RDS encoder supports both dynamic and static operation. The device is equipped with standard analogue interface for seamless integration into the broadcast chain and interchangeability with other brands’ products.

Some features are unique: monitoring of output data down to bit level, direct conversion of XML tagging data to Radiotext Plus, port multiplication via Windows control software and several others. Thanks to the support of the additional RDS2 data stream, the P232U is a future-proof device, ready for possible enhancements of FM broadcasting.

This RDS encoder is characterised by a proven concept, easy installation, great price and unsurpassed text processing capabilities. It maintains compatibility with all commonly used RDS services and data formats. The device is compatible with P132, P164 and backwards compatible with PIRA32.
