AARON 640 FM REBROADCAST RECEIVER

Inovonics’ AARON 640 is a premium FM relay/transmitter receiver developed to meet challenging reception scenarios. With off-air performance superior to even the most elite professional and consumer receivers, the AARON 640 offers many of the features of its big brother AARON 650, but at an economical price.

The AARON 640’s extremely sensitive and selective front end digitally decodes the entire analogue baseband. Outputs are MPX, balanced analogue and low latency AES-Digital signals for retransmission.

The rear panel provides a 50 ohm antenna connector (N), true composite (off-air) outputs, balanced analogue and AES-Digital audio, and remote IP access. Rear panel alarms and auto-logging constantly check for loss of audio, loss of RF and loss of RDS (or ‘hijacking’). Online notifications can alert staff by email or instant text message when any of the alarms occur. The front panel displays left and right audio metering, local LED alarms and an LCD screen with jog wheel for advanced control and editing of all tuning and monitoring parameters.

The AARON 640’s “responsive” web interface allows complete setup, listening, logging and control of the unit from your PC, tablet or smartphone, and reliable two-way connectivity is ensured with a built-in dynamic DNS utility. Advanced off-air measurement tools include an FM BandScanner and MPX region FFT. Receive bandwidth, automatic combining and many other receiver parameters are controlled by manual or automatic receive processing.
